The undertaking company, which we legally inherited, was established in the distant year of 1914, therefore we are in this business for over ninety years and so the oldest and largest such company in the Republic of Slovenia.

The experience we have gained over the years of business and services, which we offer, will greatly ease the situation when you lose your loved one. Because we understand that in moments of grief, it is especially difficult to make decisions, we try to stand by your side with a full and quality service of undertaking business. Our primary guideline in our work and services is to ease the grief of relatives of the deceased and help in the arrangement of the funeral procedure.

We perform our work with the utmost respect to the deceased and family members as well as a great respect for the rich cultural heritage and the environment.

Today the company Žale, d. o. o. is under one hundred percent ownership of the Municipality of Ljubljana. Undertaking and funeral activities take place at eighteen cemeteries that we manage:

• Funeral and related activities,
• Other retail sale of new goods in specialized stores,
• Activities of florist’s.

Within the public utility service the following activities:

• Funeral services and cremation as well as maintenance of cemeteries.

As a supplement to public utility services within marketing there are:

• Above standard funerals, cremation for external users;
•  Sale of funeral, headstone and other arrangements and services, individual maintenance and arrangement of graves and other activities of florist’s.

In addition to the listed activities our company performs other services entrusted to us as the caretaker of the public utility service. We keep records, issue agreements and opinions, maintain the land register and similar. In a smaller scope we also perform other activities for better and flawless public utility services.
